[ CPB+Microsoft? ]
+ Can Crispin make Microsoft cool? Sounds like a losing battle.
[ Funny Cards ]
+ Hilarious and timely card and any other goodies like this Mad Men reference one.

[ Brands and Crazy People ]
+ Brand timeline portrait takes a look at one blogger's daily use of brands. An interesting idea to be sure.
And here's a clip from "Crazy People" to make your Friday a little more palatable. :D
[ Indy in the schedule...and everywhere else too! ]
+ Yesterday, the new Indiana Jones movie opened...and thank god. I love Indy as much as the next person (that loves Indy movies) but the amount of cross promotional crap has kind of gotten out of hand. Take the example below...last week I was checking to see if the Sox were playing at home or away and stumbled across this "in-schedule" advertising on all the team schedules from the MLB. Aaargh. Seriously, it's like you can't escape it. And in some ways, you'd think there'd be enough hype for this movie on its own that they wouldn't need to go as far as they have. But, who knows...maybe they do.
[ Taglines and then some ]
+ Sometimes I see a tagline and I just have to wonder...WTF? In the last 15 years or so, if you compare taglines to those that came before, you'll see there is a bit of a difference. It used to be that taglines (or straplines or endlines or what have you), were something that summed up the entire brand or product benefit in an easy to digest and remember bit of copy. But now it's become more like the ones below. As I find more that fit this argument, I'll be posting them here.
